Summary: Directory index should emit valid XHTML
           Product: Apache httpd-2.0
           Version: 2.1-HEAD
          Platform: Other
        OS/Version: other
            Status: NEW
          Severity: enhancement
          Priority: P2
         Component: mod_dir
        AssignedTo: bugs@httpd.apache.org
        ReportedBy: richard.beton@roke.co.uk

Directory indexes consist of HTML3.2 tag soup, which does not even obey the
normal HTML3 rules.

Please upgrade it to emit well-formed and valid XHTML.

Please include a link to an external stylesheet, for which a default file is
provided. By altering the default file, this will allow webmasters to configure
the appearance of their directory indexes.
