It appears Qpid Java now uses a vanilla MINA 1.0 release. This means some of the performance work tha was done is not being used.

Need to upgrade to latest MINA + our performance enhancements.

    Resolution: Fixed

qpidnio and protectio options have been added to client and broker. However testing hasn't shown the same signifficant improvement as it did last time. Further investigation is required.
