getting new releases out

It seems we have some pending releases to roll, and I will have
some time to do that, so I'll just do it :-)
Probably by the end of this week.

Please review STATUS again ASAP and bump any pending nominations
that have either no votes or incomplete votes from you.
The sooner, the better.

On Friday at the latest I'll check if STATUS is in good shape,
and if so I'll roll 1.8 and 1.9 releases we can then vote on.

Once those are released, I'll look at rolling another 1.10 alpha.

I've started looking at getting an RM setup here so as to be able to RM
the odd release here and there (there's no reason we shouldn't rotate
the role).  I can't promise I'll have a working setup by the end of the
week, though, so it's probably best if you RM these — thanks! — and I'll
take some future tarball once I'm set up.
