[users@httpd] MAC & PHP??
Good Evening,
I know that we have been talking about Mac's and Apache for
the last couple of days. Has anyone ever done an install of PHP
on a OS X machine? Is it like installing a Linux version? I did
get to the php directory, but could not run install.sh or anything
else in the directory.
Thank you for the help in advance.
Steven

This is kind of an old message Natalia.
I did look at the httpd.conf file and it had been
uncommented out. I still can not see PHP on
the machine. I noticed in security that there is not
a password set for the httpd. Also do you know where
the httpd file points to? On my unix machine it
is /var/www/html.
Thank you

[users@httpd] A note with the MAC version of PHP
Posted by Joe Apache <ap...@productivitymedia.com>.
That version that is included with OS X 1 and 2 is pretty broken and is
not efficient, I would not use it for production sites. Not to mention
that security holes would been found since it's 4.2(I think?) Build
your own version.

Natalia,
Thank you very much for the information. I will go try that. I saw
the .conf file last night. Did not go into it though.
I will let you know.

Hi!
I have OS X.2 and PHP is included, you just must go to httpd.conf and
uncomment the PHP line.
If it is OS X Server there is a control panel for loading/unloading it.
