Hassle alert with jdk1.4.0-b3 [multiple struts apps in one container and others]

Hi all,

after days of pulling my hair out, I have finally found out that the 
combination of
  - jdk1.4.0-beta3
  - tomcat 4.0.1 and
  - struts 1.0.1

is inedible. Running tomcat on jdk1.3.1, everything is ok. However, 
running it on 1.4.0, no two struts applications can run in the same 
container. As a sample, I have put all webapps from the struts 
distribution in `webapps' and started up, which will result in a number 
of Exceptions.

My catalina.out after the startup can be found at 
http://kynhewi.de/catalina.out if anyone is interested. If you get in 
similar trouble, switch back to jdk 1.3.1
