The [release documentation in the project Wiki|https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/FLINK/Creating+a+Flink+Release] describes the release process.

We need to add a note to follow up with the Docker image publication process as part of the release checklist. The actual documentation should probably be self-contained in the apache/flink-docker repository, but we should definitely link to it.
