[jira] [Updated] (GEODE-3285) New protocol authentication with SASL

Brian Baynes updated GEODE-3285:
--------------------------------
    Description:
As a user of the new client/server protocol, I need to be able to authenticate clients to my grid. Using a standard framework with minimal upfront setup would be most preferred.

Implement client authentication using SASL (Simple Authentication and Security Layer) and the PLAIN mechanism. SASL should tie into existing security manager for processing auth. Protocol clients should be able to pass user/pass and authenticate the socket in use.
