Mine used to work. Now it is broken. I will solved the problem when I
can get it back working in html (now it gives an exception, even fresh
checkout, about ClassCast of a Profile in JetspeedRundata).

+1

Its just a change to the build.xml to only include the jetspeed jar
in the WEB-INF.

Although it is useful for debugging jetspeed to have the classes - as
they save a reload of tomcat... perhaps a separate target - dev
versus release in the build.xml would cater for this.

Chris

Jetspeed jars in webapps.

Posted by Frans Thamura <ft...@yahoo.com>.
Dear All,

Input....

I find that the Jetspeed class (WEB-INF\classes) is
same with the jetspeed.jar.

This is redudance, isn't it?

I try to remove the classes, and my jetspeed is still
working well. I think it is better to remove it from
distribution (CVS or etc).

Thanks

Frans

Thankyou, you can thank our graphic designer!

Hi Dave,

We now have an option in the JRP:

confirm.email.enable=false

The default setting is false.
The feature was giving us a lot of first-time user problems, since in order
for it to work, the user must first properly setup an email server. You can
re-enable the feature by setting it to true

I just tried this website. When I created a new account, it was immediately
activated with my selected password and I did not receive a confirmation

Portlet Maximize problem

Posted by Anthony Smith <an...@fedex.com>.
I have more than one customize page. When I maximize a portlet from one
page, it takes me to the Home page (Home.class) and shows the maximized
portlet there. When I minimized it, it shows the Home page and its portlets.

Its already done. I had to update the website anyway, since I've put my site
back online.
I have the lastest cvs (2001/07/22) running at
http://www.bluesunrise.com/jetspeed (instead of :8080/nile)
The problem is that this screws up the location of the current Jetspeed
How-To and the javadocs that I used to host at the same address.
So I have moved the documentation to
http://www.bluesunrise.com/jetspeed-docs

There is some new documentation contributed by Paul Spencer. We are calling
it the Portlet Catalog.
Its a great start, but we still need to document more portlets.
Check it out:

http://jakarta.apache.org/jetspeed/site/catalog.html

Also updated the javadocs to match the cvs head (2001/07/22):

If you don't mind, I will put this URL in
http://jakarta.apache.org/jetspeed/usejetspeed.html where, by the way,
some sample sites can be found. Mine is currently broken, I'm
researching the bug in cvs HEAD (something related with the profiler). I
think David is on holidays.

You can send me a comment about version, scope, hardware, java version,
etc. If you want. It is useful to have information on the problems found
in deployment with jetspeed.

It is a very nice portal, by the way.
