[jira] [Created] (INFRA-4386) Jira proxy errors when using user "eli"

Jira proxy errors when using user "eli"
---------------------------------------

                 Key: INFRA-4386
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/INFRA-4386
             Project: Infrastructure
          Issue Type: Bug
      Security Level: public (Regular issues)
          Components: JIRA
            Reporter: Eli Collins
            Priority: Blocker

I can't access jiras or login to jira using my username (which is "eli", I'm filing this from a new account I created). I get proxy errors, with "Reason: Error reading from remote server". I had to create a new account to file this jira. I can access jira after clearing my cookies so that I'm not logged in, or eg from an icognito browser window. The problem started earlier this afternoon and persists.

Eli I think we are going to have to disable that acct. We can't find the cause currently. We will file a ticket with Atlassian to try and find out, but I dont consider it a must have to cure this now.

If your old acct has any tickets assigned, I'll try and bulk transfer them to the new acct, otherwise you could just re-assign them yourself as needed.
I'll start looking at re-creating your permission levels to the new acct shortly. I'll disable the old acct in one day from now, or sooner if you give the go-ahead earlier.

Your Eli2 user now has same perms as the original acct.

I have disabled the original acct as it still kept getting failed login attempts.

Thanks Gavin. I'm unable to login with the password "test", I tried to reset it but I never got a reset email, can you update the email for this user to eli@cloudera.com and send me a reset link?

Eli, I have just removed you from the 'all-developers' group - which may or may not be the cause. I will do some more testing.

Could you make "eli2" an admin of the hadoop jira projects? I seem to only be an admin on common, not hdfs and mapreduce.

Thanks, Eli
