@SamuelMarks quick question to clarify - did you first try to install superset via pip and then tried building from the git repo? If the latter is true then you'd probably need to build static assets, I remember having the same problem when not following the steps outlined in https://github.com/apache/incubator-superset/blob/master/pypi_push.sh#L18-L22
