Additional CPU & RAM to KVM Host
Hi Guys
My KVM host allows me to add an additional CPU to its socket and I am
looking to update the RAM on the KVM host too.
Firstly, what is the correct step to follow to ensure VMs are shutdown
correctly via Cloudstack Management?
Then, will cloudstack management automatically detect the new CPU and
RAM once added? Or are there a few things I would need to do?

Hello,
I have never added CPU but upgraded RAM many times and cloudstack detects it automatically.

Hi,
Put the host into maintenance mode and then reboot it.
when cloudstack agent starts, it will detect the hardware info
automatically, as Vivek said.
