Extensions and sun.misc.Service

Hi,

I'm a new maven user and I would like to introduce extensions to a
homemade plugin. But when I add in my pom.xml the extension as follow :

<extension>

<groupId>com.reuters.kplusgen.extension.cartridge.providers.enum</groupI
d>

      <artifactId>providers-enum</artifactId>

      <version>1.1-SNAPSHOT</version>

</extension>

I cant get the service with the method:
sun.misc.Service.providers(Cartridge.class);

When I try it in my unit test it is working perfectly.

Do I need to use another method?

Or do I messing some thing in the configuration steps?
