Not ready for prime time
We've been using subversion and TortoiseSVN now for several weeks on a
large project. The performance is dismal for both TortoiseSVN and the
command line client. Merging takes an hour or more. The cmd line tool
performance is also dismal. I'm tring to delete a directory from a
branch. After 45 mintes I killed my DOS window and am trying again. I
cannot endorse subversion. Everybody in our group experiences slow
performance. Maybe it's our installation and usage and other subversion
users have a better experience. We are using CollabNet.

Don't delete from the working copy.
Instead, use the URL version of the svn delete command.
The delete will happen in less than 1 second.

What command are you using to delete your branch? Describe your environment.
What have you tried so far?

If you're using CollabNet presumably you also have a support agreement. Did
you contact them?
