Click on Services , HDFS/YARN --> Metrics
Click on any one of the Metrics and select edit
After editing a few fields in the widget, when we try to save the changes, the save option is greyed out. 
This is because of the description Validation that is added in the Validator.js 

*+2 ways to fix this:+*

# We either edit all the descriptions in widgets.json so that it won't contain any characters like .
# Or we add a condition in Validator to allow .
