Anyone have evidence that javadoc:aggregate-jar works as a goal in a pom file?

The maven javadoc plugin source tree has no IT's for the aggregate-jar
goal. When I try it in a seemingly obvious way, it fails by feeding
the javadoc tool no java files to process.

Can someone point to a working example?
