how to checkout and build?

I pulled the entire jcs subtree down from svn however building the mvn
trunk does not produce a jar. It just sticks a pom in .m2

How do you buld this and run the test cases?

I assume JCS_1_3 is the current 1.3?

Any plans to upgrade to maven2? All our stuff is in maven2 and I
really need to dig into the code to check out the "broken pipe" issue
I posted in another email.

Help!?
