noncaching of sitetree within info/site area

Hi

I have explicitely set noncaching of the sitetree within the info/site area,
because otherwise the permissions cannot be applied resp. nodes marked
as protected.

What concerns me a bit is why the pipeline did cache in the first place.
Is it possible that someone set caching to default?
