statistics in v3

Hi,

I was used to statistics in ts v2. However by analyzing the headers, it
looks like the APIs were completely rewritten and the documentation wasn't
updated. Any ideas here? Any examples I can follow?

You mean the old stats system? It was replaced with one that uses the "new" internal stats system (libcrecords). e.g.
