Directory URLS and Tomcat

I am having problems with Tomcat, cause it adds the filename to the
directory url. Like http://www.myhost.something becomes
http://www.myhost.something/index.jsp. I've been looking for a solution
for this, but haven't succeeded to find something. Does anyone have any
idea about how to solve this?
