[jira] [Commented] (COMDEV-133) Incorrect committee home page for
Whimsy
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/COMDEV-133?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14602443#comment-14602443 ]
Hervé Boutemy commented on COMDEV-133:
--------------------------------------
as I tried to document in http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/comdev/projects.apache.org/scripts/README.txt
committees.json is generated from committee-info.txt by parsecommittees.py: yes, committee homepage is guessed here
currently, there is a separate parsepmcs.py script that parses PMC Data and put it in other files
I have in mind to merge the 2 scripts sometime in the future, but the big question will be: week which data from which source?
2 significative examples:
- you're right, homepage from .rdf (instead of automated guessing that homepage = http://committeeId.apache.org)
- PMC chair is better taken from committee-info.txt than from PMC Data (that is often forgotten)
> Incorrect committee home page for Whimsy

> Key: COMDEV-133

> The committee home page for Whimsy is shown as http://whimsy.apache.org/
> However it should be http://whimsical.apache.org/, as per the PMC data file.
> Looks like the code is assuming the URL rather than extracting it from the RDF file.
