Opening static popups from Jetspeed 1.5 using non-absolute URLs

Hi everybody,

I'd like to know if there's a standard way of opening static popups from
within a Jetspeed 1.5 portal using non-absolute URLs. In general, how should
the static content be added to a Jetspeed portal? Best practices here?

I've found a solution using a slightly patched javascript function but would
like to know if there's a 'standarized' way of doing it.
