Serializing Templates/Stylesheets

Hi,

We're wondering if there is an implementation of the TransformerFactory that can create instances of javax.xml.transform.Templates that are serializable. We are planning to use a different appliance as caching mechanism to store compiled Stylesheets. Can someone please guide me on how this can be done or if thats even possible.
