Migrating SIS web site to another CMS

Hello all

The Apache Content Management System (CMS) used for building SIS web
site [1] is going end of life. The Apache Infrastructure team invites
all projects to migrate to one of the various open source alternatives
(Pelican, Jekyll, Hugo, JBake, Antora, Jenkins, etc.) [2]. Bruno kindly
experimented migrating the SIS site to the Hugo system (thanks!)
Discussion is on JIRA issue at [3]. The result is at [4]. I tried to
build that site and the result is close to identical to the current web
site (improving the web site would be a separated task).

Is everyone okay for adopting Hugo as the new Content Management System
(CMS) and use the content of [4] as the new web site source? If I heard
no objection by Wednesday, I will assume that we have lazy consensus and
create a JIRA ticket on INFRA.

Hi Martin,

It's not an apache SIS database. It's MySQL Innodb on a third party host

It depends if we are talking about SQL statements used by Apache SIS, for example for accessing the EPSG database. If they are SQL statements from another project, then the community around that project know better the meaning of the data and how to convert them.
