[jira] Created: (GERONIMODEVTOOLS-130) Geronimo service projects
don't deploy
Geronimo service projects don't deploy
--------------------------------------
Key: GERONIMODEVTOOLS-130
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/GERONIMODEVTOOLS-130
Project: Geronimo-Devtools
Issue Type: Bug
Components: eclipse-plugin
Affects Versions: 1.1.0
Environment: Eclipse 3.2.1; WST 1.5.2.v200610070620-X3Tmm8_VLz2EcCH; JST 1.5.2.v200610070620-kW-OA1vfaZTJtXg
Reporter: Chris Curtis
Geronimo service projects (created as J2EE utility projects, with a geronimo-service.xml deployment plan) do not actually deploy into a running Geronimo server. The Server pane shows the service as deployed, and the normal "synchronized/republish" state tracking appears to work, but nothing actually happens in Geronimo itself.
There appears to be an edit that addressed this issue (http://svn.apache.org/viewvc?view=rev&revision=417199) but I'm not an Eclipse internals wizard.

B.J. Reed resolved GERONIMODEVTOOLS-130.
----------------------------------------
Resolution: Won't Fix
The decision was made in GERONIMODEVTOOLS-427 to remove support for the utility projects. Any code that deals with this xml has been removed.
