[jira] [Created] (COMPRESS-431) Multi input/output stream coders
are not yet supported
Olivier Croquette created COMPRESS-431:
------------------------------------------
Summary: Multi input/output stream coders are not yet supported
Key: COMPRESS-431
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/COMPRESS-431
Project: Commons Compress
Issue Type: Bug
Reporter: Olivier Croquette
I am trying to extract this file:
https://netcologne.dl.sourceforge.net/project/mingw-w64/Toolchains%20targetting%20Win64/Personal%20Builds/mingw-builds/7.2.0/threads-posix/sjlj/x86_64-7.2.0-release-posix-sjlj-rt_v5-rev0.7z
Unfortunately, I get an IOException:
{code}
Multi input/output stream coders are not yet supported
{code}
I don't know what multi streams are, and why they are used in this archive, but it's unfortunate that an exception is thrown. The tool 7zip on Windows can extract the file without a problem.
If multi streams cannot be supported, is there a way to have a soft, more reasonnable fallback than an IOException?
