New computer fails on secretary workbench

I just got a new mac. MacBook pro M3 Sonoma 14.5.

 The secretary workbench is unusable for me. The main page with a list of emails works, but when I click on a link, fail.

Should be working again now; I have applied a temporary fix

It's pure coincidence that the failure occurs after changing your computer.

The error shown occurs on the whimsy host, and is presumably due to
some of the recent changes to some of the library routines.

I get the error too; will have a look shortly.
