DO NOT REPLY [Bug 45101] New: DirContextURLConnection - Format Date
Header Values per HTTP spec
https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=45101
Summary: DirContextURLConnection - Format Date Header Values per
HTTP spec
Product: Tomcat 6
Version: unspecified
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: Catalina
AssignedTo: tomcat-dev@jakarta.apache.org
ReportedBy: chris@hubick.com
Created an attachment (id=22035)
--> (https://issues.apache.org/bugzilla/attachment.cgi?id=22035)
Return Date header values in HTTP format
When you retrieve a header value from a DirContextURLConnection, it currently
returns a string by simply calling .toString() on the internal object, no
matter the type of that Object. For Date value headers such as
'Last-Modified', this results in a String formatted according to Java
standards, rather than the Date format specified by the HTTP standard as
clients of the API would expect.
This is a follow-up to bug 44611.
