how can Tuscany help us with security in a SOA
Hi
Thank you for reading my post
Is there any use for Tuscany when we want security and reliability in
our web service based system?
for example can it help us in using ws-security tokens for
authentication or can it help us to perform xml encryption stuff on our
soap messages?
or whether it has some usage about ws-addressing or can we use it when
we have ws-tx in place?
Thanks

Yes, but you'll need to wait a little bit before you can actually try using
it with Tuscany. You can read about the SCA support for these types of
things here: http://www.oasis-opencsa.org/SCA-policy-framework.
We've just starting to implement this now in the Tuscany runtime and there
should be some support in the release after next (the 0.91 release branch is
being made next week so the next release after that should be around
August). All going well that will include support for web service things
like WS-Security and WS-RM. There's a _lot_ to do to get full support here
so it will to an extent be driven by user demand, which aspects of this are
important to you?
