j-t-c milestone
Hi,
The code in j-t-c/jk2 should be mostly stable. I would like to
do a tag and do a build for people who may want to test it.
If no objections are made, I would tag JTC_M1.
I don't know if we need a formal vote for milestone tags and
builds ( there are more tags than votes :-), but if you think
it's a bad idea let me know ( via a -1 ).

In my case the problem I have seems to be in the C part. (Or in Apache-2.1
VirtualHost)... I will make a more complete description tomorrow.

It does it correctly: I have done the following:
+++
<VirtualHost vtxclere:7778>
ServerName vtxclere:7778
ServerAdmin you@vtxclere.address
<Location /examples/>
SetHandler server-info
Order deny,allow
Allow from all
# JkUriSet worker ajp13:localhost:8009
</Location>
</VirtualHost>
<VirtualHost vtxpc1:7778>
ServerName vtxpc1:7778
ServerAdmin you@vtxpc1.address
<Location /examples/>
SetHandler server-status
Order deny,allow
Allow from all
# JkUriSet worker ajp13:pgtr0327:8009
</Location>
</VirtualHost>
+++
http://vtxpc1:7778/examples/ gives the status and
http://vtxclere:7778/examples/ gives the info

I have attached the error_log file, httpd.conf and workers2.properties.

That's what I originally tested, and someone checked this recently.
It's weird - the mapping is done by apache entirely, jk2 is just forwarding
the request to the worker that is set by apache. Can you replace JkUriSet
and see if you get different static pages ( i.e. apache does make the
distinction ) ? Can you enable debug on the workers and lb and send me
the trace ?
I just can't see what can be different here - this is a case where jk2 just
doesn't do anything related with mapping the request.

That has not helped. That even worse /jkstatus/ now return 404.

You can allso put your vhosts in workers2.properties.
Perhaps for such cases we'll need to make that two calls combined.

I have the following in httpd.conf:
+++
<VirtualHost vtxclere:7778>
ServerName vtxclere.bcn.fsc.net
ServerAdmin you@vtxclere.address
<Location /examples/>
JkUriSet worker ajp13:localhost:8009

</VirtualHost>
<VirtualHost vtxpc1:7778>
ServerName vtxpc1.bcn.fsc.net
ServerAdmin you@vtxpc1.address
<Location /examples/>
JkUriSet worker ajp13:pgtr0327:8009
</Location>
</VirtualHost>
+++
I was hoping that the requests like http://vtxclere:7778/examples would go to
the localhost running Tomcat and the http://vtxpc1:7778/examples would go the
remote Tomcat. That is not the case all go to the remote Tomcat...

All jtc ( including util, coyote, http11 ).
I would like to have a stable build with the JMX support, including the
remote JMX from mod_jk. I'll test tonight with 3.3 and 4.0 ( 4.1 and 5.0
seem to be working ).
Regarding vhosts - it seems it works for some people. Can you give more
details ?
I know that if you configure with JkUriSet the console will
not show the right thing, since I can't extract the vhost name in
the apache callback. But it still works.
This is a milestone - to allow people to test against a labeled
version, so we can track errors.

I am trying things with <VirtualHost/> so if you wait a little that would be great.
