Jackrabbit has this support for {{TimeSeries}} data [1] which often proves to be useful to see how some metric has behaved over a period of time. 

In most cases we should rely on some external monitoring system to create proper time series data from metric data exposed in Sling. However at times such monitoring systems are not available. For such cases it should be possible to collect some time series data within Sling Metric implementation only
