In KAFKA-3930, we found that IPv6 host names were raising an exception when used as ObjectNames because of the ":" characters. We've fixed this one case in {{KafkaMetricsGroup}}, but in general, we should make sure all cases are covered. This should consider {{o.a.k.c.metrics.JmxReporter}} as well.
