[jira] [Commented] (ACCUMULO-2936) Running Accumulo on different JVMs

William Slacum commented on ACCUMULO-2936:
------------------------------------------

Would anyone object to creating a "Dos and Don'ts" development document to help address this? One thing I think that's going to become onerous is a testing plan that involves all of our tests for each implementation of the JDK we deem fit for Accumulo's use.

> Accumulo needs to be able to run on a large variety of JVM vendors. Currently, there are a number of assumptions in the application code and some unit tests that cause problems when running Accumulo on a non-Sun or OpenJDK VM.
> This issue contains a number of sub-issues which address each of these problems.
