[jira] [Created] (OAK-5637) Increase time granularity in IOMonitor

Francesco Mari created OAK-5637:
-----------------------------------

Summary: Increase time granularity in IOMonitor
                 Key: OAK-5637
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/OAK-5637
             Project: Jackrabbit Oak
          Issue Type: Improvement
          Components: segment-tar
            Reporter: Francesco Mari
            Assignee: Francesco Mari
             Fix For: 1.8

The time granularity of milliseconds used in {{IOMonitory}} is not precise enough when memory mapped files are used. Unless a swap operation is performed by the OS, the current granularity is not enough to catch the time spent in reading or writing.
