where can I find documentation for teh tom cat administration web application?

I have search the tomcat web site several time, and can not seem to find any
information about this application. 

 

What does it do?

 

How can I get a copy of it?

 

Why has it been removed from the standard distribution?

The name should be self-evident. To my knowledge, there are no docs

Search for "Administration Web Application"

To reduce the size of the distro. It isn't that well maintained,
doesn't keep up with new Tomcat features and a lot of users don't use it.
