As soon as SourceForge approves struts-wml.sourceforge.net, I'll upload our
current 'release', including full build, source, cvs etc. It will be, say,
v0.99.

I think SourceForge stuff needs 2 working days for approval, so please be
patient.

Regards,
Davor

[ANN] Struts WML Tag Library 'raw prerelease' available

Posted by Davor Cengija <da...@mail.inet.hr>.
Struts-wml taglib, 'raw prerelease' is available here:

https://sourceforge.net/projects/struts-wml/

Here's the release note:

This is a fully functional 'prerelease' which includes source code, sample
application, documentation, binary and libraries. It's still somewhat
unpolished (therefore raw prerelease). If you're willing to hack arround
with it a little bit, you're welcome to download it. Please don't forget to
contribute your changes back to the project!

Thanks to Jim Bonanno for code contributions, documentation, build scripts
etc, and to Daniel Honig for ideas, testing and support.

Unfortunatelly, I hadn't enough time to make different 'distributions', so
now we have just one file with everything in it. Future releases will
include 'full build', 'source only' etc.

CVS is also up and running. I probably messed up something but will
hopefully fix that in the forthcoming days.

And some remarks for the end:

- Apache licence
- Struts wml taglib is built against struts-1.1b2 source code, using ideas
from struts-html taglib.
- It should be able to do whatever struts-html taglib is supposed to do,
but in the WML world, including validations, automatic field population and
other Struts goodies.
- There's a special tag, wml:form. Since WML doesn't have <form> element,
this taglib is introduced to take advantage of the Struts' functions such
as field population. It is not mandatory to use this tag, but without it,
it is not possible to have preselected lists etc. For more details, please
see the source code and the sample application.
- Please ignore my, rather unpolished and somewhat confusing, English.

As soon as my schedule allows me, I'm going to release v1.0.

Please use SourceForge provided functionalities (mailing lists, bug
tracker, forums). Don't hesitate to 'get dirty' with the code, but make
sure to contribute the changes back to the project. If you're willing to
use CVS, open the SourceForge account and mail me the username.

Cheers!
