HOWLLogger has been updated to use howl's XALogger and its commit tracking.  We are currently logging more than we need in commit and rollback due to a npe in howl.  I'll discuss this with the howl team.

HOWL now provides mark management.  We should be using it since ours has some problems as one can sometimes see in stack traces.
