[jira] [Created] (JS2-1279) Jetspeed 2.2.2 produces HTML with
warnings
Ron McNulty created JS2-1279:
--------------------------------
Summary: Jetspeed 2.2.2 produces HTML with warnings
Key: JS2-1279
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JS2-1279
Project: Jetspeed 2
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Container
Affects Versions: 2.2.2
Environment: Windows 7 home premium
Reporter: Ron McNulty
Priority: Minor
The introduction of the JetUI pipeline has introduced name, row and column attributes in <div> tags. These are not correct HTML, so HTML Tidy raises warnings on every page.
In version 2.2.0 this did not occur - I've not tried 2.2.1.
If using the classic pipeline, the workaround is to revert the layout.vm files to the 2.2.0 standard.
As a technical lead overseeing a team of developers, I would very much like to see this fixed. It is hard to convince them to create legal HTML when the deployment platform insists on adding its own warnings.
