I see that there are a few PRs for the comdev-site that have not been processed. 

I'm not a PMC member, nor a committer, but I'm happy to help if given the commit bit for the git repository.

My preference will be also to use the 'mailing lists' term as we are
using it across the foundation.

One of the outstanding questions I had is still an outstanding question.
See [1].
I am known with the term ‘mailing lists’ around multiple projects, so was
not sure if we should mass update to ‘email lists’.

Any opinions here ?

Since this change is part of multiple pull requests it makes sense to first
resolve it at one place without having to repeat the same in multiple
places.
