How to arrange online/offline status with ActiveMQ?

I am planning to build a business platform for an office group. One of the
functions is to maintain all the users' online/offline status. Based on
that, the system can transmit office messages properly between the
endpoints. 
 How can I implement it depending on the support of ActiveMQ?
