Time and again, I am running into scenarios where I just want to fix bugs in mapreduce app, replace the mapreduce libraries without bringing down YARN daemons and/or replacing the YARN RM/NM installation.

Today, we have separate HADOOP_MAPRED_HOME and YARN_HOME, but the installation directory is the same. We need to separate this.

We will need this eventually anyways, as MR is strictly a user-land library, just like PIG, HIVE etc.
