RE: Tomcat Services Stop VERY Frequently - HELP!
I had this problem too. I don't use the service tomcat.exe anymore. I
switched back to jk_nt_service.exe.
The only problem with jk_nt_service is that it doesn't let Tomcat stop
properly. It kills it when you click stop. But if that's not an issue, it is
much more stable and configurable.
I hope they resurrect it for Tomcat 5.
In addition, I wrote a Service Manager for jk_nt_service that we use
throughout my company. Get it here:

At the moment, TC5 is using "procrun" from jakarta-commons/sandbox. It's
working great for me.
