okay lets do it


Plan a:

     iron out all the minor problems, prepare 1.0 announcements, tidy
     up apache.org, relase the sucker.


Plan b:
   
     release the sucker. iron out all the minor problems, 
     prepare 1.0 announcements, tidy up apache.org,


With our past performace in mind, my vote is for Plan b.

When?... yesterday. Put what we have online now. It's long overdue.
