Here is an overview of the issue:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
        Key: JAMES-60
Summary: server terminates connection during OVER command
       Type: Bug

     Status: Closed
 Resolution: FIXED

    Project: James
 Components:
             NNTPServer & Repository
   Versions:
             2.0a3

   Assignee:
   Reporter: Christian Buchegger

    Created: Fri, 4 Oct 2002 10:12 PM
    Updated: Sun, 6 Jun 2004 2:26 PM
Environment: Operating System: Other
Platform: All

Description:
When the execution of an OVER command takes longer than the configured timeout,
then connection is terminated when the timeout trigger is fired, even when the
transmission is still ongoing.

This prevents a slow client from getting all the headers of a large newsgroup.

Using a greater value as timeout was an option in my scenario; but will not be
feasable in production environment.
