   Instead of registering a GAP listener that is called with every GAP event,
   now user can specify which type of GAP events s/he is interested in, such
   that the listener will be called only when this particular type of events
   happen.
   Also, listeners' users are not required to keep instances of listeners, so
   this is handled inside GAP with memory pools
