Support for SAML2

I saw some discussion from around this time last year regarding
incorporating support for SAML2 into the SAML Token Profile code, but
the work would wait until OpenSAML2 was complete.  Is this something
that is on the horizon?  

 

I am new to the WSS world, but I am starting to get up to speed on WSS.
Should I be looking at different Apache WS Projects? I have seen quite a
few pointers to Rampart, but I haven't started digging into it yet.
