As Jon Stevens pointed out, he has recommended that NetComponents be
made a Jakarta subproject, but it still has to be voted on.  It won't
be voted on until a release is ready.  The release will hopefully be
ready by the end of the year.  And if approved in the vote, it will
become part of the Apache Jakarta project in early 2001.  If not
approved, it will still be released as open source, but possibly under
the GPL instead of a BSD-style license.  I'll look into the JDK 1.3 issue
you've brought up and post an update on www.oroinc.com after I finally
get around to updating the web site.
