Apache / MS interop

Hi,

I am working on a MS client which needs to talk to an Apache server. MS
SOAP version is 3.0, Apache SOAP 2.2.

I am having numerous headaches (500 server errors on the Apache end), and I
would appreciate it if you could peruse the following.

Whilst reading the FAQ at http://xml.apache.org/soap/faq/index.html, I
noticed the last question - "Does Apache SOAP work with Microsoft SOAP?"
refers to a patch being necessary. However the link to this patch doesn't
work. Where can I get it from?

Can any replies please be cc'd to me as I am not on the mailing list, and I
don't know how to join it.

Thanks in advance,

Tony

Antony,

I suggest you subscribe to the mailing list, as your posting must first
be handled by the person moderating the list otherwise, and you will not
receive responses unless individuals specifically include you as a
recipient.

The patch referred to in the FAQ applies to 2.0; your 2.2 has it
already.

A good introduction to interop issues when using Apache SOAP 2.2,
including those with Microsoft, is at
http://xml.apache.org/soap/docs/guide/interop.html.

You may find help for your problem at
http://www.scottnichol.com/vbclienthiapachesoap.htm or
http://www.scottnichol.com/vbclientapachesoap.htm depending on whether
you are using the high or low level API.

For Microsoft's take on your interop issue, see
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q307318.
