[~dlyubimov] I noticed that you added this to the 0.10.2 sprint.  Are we planning on moving 0.10.x to Spark 1.3?  I believe the changes needed to upgrade the  spark module to 1.3 should be able to made backwards compatible (if they're not already).  

I just got the shell working with 1.3.  The developer API for the 1.3 REPL is not fully compatible with < 1.3 it seems.
