The aim of this JIRA is to incorporate the distributed counter framework developed in REEF-1456 in IMRU. Specifically {{IMRU driver}}, {{MapTaskHost}} and {{UpdateTaskHost}} would need to be updated to incorporate the counter interfaces. Application specific counters can also be included by including counter interfaces in {{IMapFunction}} and {{IUpdateFunction}}.
