new jar file name

I thought of another possible candidate for the new jar file to
execute the tools and network server as part of DERBY-1063:
derbyrun.jar, which also works as runderby.jar

So far these are the proposed names:

derbycmd.jar
derbyctl.jar
derbygo.jar
derbyrun.jar
goderby.jar
runderby.jar

Does anyone have a strong feeling for going with any of these names?

So, if I tally up the contents of this thread as an informal vote, we've got:

derbyrun - 1/2 (me), 1 (John), 1/2 (Kristian), 1 (Susan), 1
(Michelle), 1/2 (Jean), 1 (Satheesh)

runderby - 1/2 (me), 1 Dan, 1/2 (Kristian), 1/2 (Jean), 1 (Dag)

That's 5 1/2 for derbyrun.jar and 3 1/2 for runderby.jar.

Unless someone really has a problem with it, I'm going to go with derbyrun.jar.

I like derbyrun.jar or runderby.jar. *sigh* even though it is fun.

I like the ones where 'go' or 'run' is before derby, shows the jar has a
different purpose to the other jar files. I think I like runderby.jar
the best.

I like derbygo.jar or derbyrun.jar. I think it's advantageous for the
derby jars to sort together.

Hi Rajesh,

'derbyutils.jar' does not say me much. What is in there? To me it sounds
as it contains some additional programs/tools you can use on/with Derby.
Also, what's the difference between 'derbytools.jar' and 'derbyutils.jar'?

Just my personal opinions :)

I think I'll join in on cheering for 'runderby.jar', or possibly
'derbyrun.jar'.

Eight characters is not a requirement. The idea is to capture the
functionality of the new jar file in as few characters as possible, to
minimize typing. I'm open to suggestions, but I'd like to choose a
name as soon as possible.

derbyrun.jar is also currently my favorite, but that could change. ;-)

As long as we have to stick to max 8 characters in the name I like
derbyrun.jar the best, although I don't have strong feelings about it

derbyrun.jar is nice - I think it's nice to have all the names start with 'derby'
